The Italian Publishers Association (AIE) is organizing the first Italian EPUB Day by Editech: a two-days event devoted to the EPUB ecosystem on September 25 and 26 at the premises of H-Farm in Roncade (Treviso).
The event will feature three keynote speeches from Bill McCoy (IDPF and Readium Foundation Director), Markus Gylling (IDPF and Daisy Consortium CTO) and Hadrien Gardeur (Feedbooks CEO) and will offer the participants the possibility to bring their own experiences and visions to working groups devoted to specific topics such as EPUB 3 and EDUPUB, productive processes, authoring tools, DRM, reading systems, discoverability and accessibility.
This event represents the first moment of discussion for the Italian community working in this field – digital experts, web content manager, CTO, COO, e-book designer, digital editors, software and platform developers – and is targeted in particular to companies involved in the production of books with complex layouts such as illustrated books, textbooks, interactive and multimedia books such as children books, comics, art catalogues.
The event is organized by the Italian Publishers Association (AIE), in collaboration with the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) and the Technology Innovation for Smart Publishing (TISP) project, with the support of H-Farm and Pubcoder.
Partners of the initiative are CodeMantra, Gruppo Meta, Promedia, Contentra, Datamatics, DGLine, CasaliniLibri, Nielsen.
