On Friday, 21st November, mEDRA will host a DOI outreach meeting in Milano. This follows the successful precedent set last year by DOI outreach meetings in Taipei and Beijing.
The Outreach meeting will focus on services enabled by the use of DOI and will present to the public use cases proposed by RAs (Airiti, CrossRef, DataCite, EIDR, mEDRA, OPOCE) in different context of application and external projects benefitting from synergies with the DOI community (including UK Copyright Hub, RDI and FORWARD project representatives).
The first session addresses the use of DOI to create a linked ecosystem for the academic and research community. The second session demonstrates the cross-sector nature of the DOI showcasing examples in different domains. The third sessions puts DOI in the context of one of the “hot topics” for the content industries: rights management and easy licensing.
Each session will be followed by a short technical insight related to the topic of the session. Invited technical experts will explain to the public the common approaches and technical solutions to support interoperability among RAs and services driven by DOI.
